Master Grade Gundam ver O.Y.W Animation Colour 95%

Hi everyone. This is one of my recent built and it is the grand-daddy of the Gundam Universe. The RX-78-2. This model kit it a newly engineered model kit that feature solid proportions and articulations that allows this kit to make quite alot of signatures poses that it did during the animation is shown. This kit was release by Bandai during the Video Game that was release on the Playstation 2 platform a few years back and the original colour on the kit is more pinkish and milky brown compare to the original animation colours are. So I waited and Bandai release the Animation Colour verison of it. Ok enough of my blanting LOLZ 🙂 I have built it Out of Box and with some slight modding to the legs to allow more articulations to it. Beside that this model kit inner frame that holds the armours didn’t really restrict it movements too much. And I have changes the panel lines colours also to give it a different looks and to bring out the level of detail on this kit. Since the version 2 of RX-78-2 is releasing soon. I think it better to chunk out this kit before my version 2 reached 🙂 In the mean time do enjoy these photos and a mini short story that i come up with. Overall this kit is still not completed yet to me as I felt the decals should have more. I have order some decals overseas and it will reach me soon. Once i have completed the decal job I will post more photos on this wonderful kit 🙂 P.S Some photoshopped effects are use to tell this mini story LOLZ

Genesis Climber Mospeada

Hi everyone 🙂 Time to go back in time to relive the old good anime. I guess there are some of us
that still remember Genesis Climber Mospeada. The 3rd series in the Robotech series and it an individual anime series release by Japan in the 80s. This kit is from Aoshima and it was release quite some time ago. It was one of the commission job that my customer has actually asked me to do. I was quite happy to built this for him as he wanted a custom red colour which I have made 2 tones for it. A more lighter red tone of the rider and a darker red colour for the bike. As you all can see I have started the building phrase. As it was not a snap fit kinda kit and it required plastic modeling cement to glue the parts together. I would had to think in advance on how to mask and how to clear seamlines before I start working on the colour tone. Do take a look at the unpainted kit in building process 🙂

Now I have sort out the parts needed to be painted. I have started to prime all the parts to check for scratches and uncovered properly seam lines 🙂 Good thing it I have removed them all 🙂

All on satay sticks after priming 🙂

Now I have done my final check and started spraying on the rider’s armour to bright red. And have started to pull the bike apart for priming and will start spraying soon 🙂

Gundam Kyrios 1/100 NG

Hi everyone. I have been quite busy setting up my own plastic modeling club that I have taken quite a while sorting out all the infos and purchases needed to set up the new club. My old workshop is closing down as the owner is facing some trouble sorting his stuffs out. I was feeling very sad as I was one of the longest members around there and are the only instructor there that teached Gunpla. But never the less I have found a new place and will be shifting there by June. So hope to see more people coming in and join me in my conquest for plastic modeling as I’m trying my best to help the plastic modeling committee to grow. So do drop by and say hi to me when I set up my new club in my new workshop 🙂

So this is one of my new work. The GN-003 Kyrios from Gundam OO and it at the 1/100 scales.

This is the Kyrios Plane Mode. The original cockpit is jus a huge pile of plastic and It quite ugly. So I have scratch built a cockpit into it. As the Gundam Pilot don’t sit inside there and the official info is there is a sensor built inside the cockpit so I took this idea and make a array sensor inside it to make it looks like what you have seen inside the animations.

Till then when I have confirm the opening of my new workshop 🙂 Do drop by and I will release the address of the location soon 🙂 Cya all in June 🙂

Gundam Dynames 1/100 NG

This is the 2nd model kit under the Gundam OO NG 1/100 series line. Same clean style building and decaling. As per usual no mod on this kit as it overall very good built. Even better than Exia LOLZ 🙂 The kit comes with a pair of Gn Pistols and a long range beam rifle. And a armor coat for it mid-series add-on 🙂 Do take a look at it and hope you all like it 🙂

Gundam Exia 1/100 NG Kit

This is one of the new model kit that I have got from a group built of building them as they are release from Japan. The model kits release is based on the new anime series by Sunrise. Kidou Senshi Gundam OO. The scale of this kit is on the platform of NG (Non-Grade) 1/100 scales. I have fun building this kit compare to the Gundam seed NG 1/100 kits due to the Improvement of the articulations of the model kit itself and the seamline reductions of the kit. When i was building the old Seed kits seamlines is really a pain to clear. But when i started working on this new NG from Gundam OO. It prove to be much fun to built and to paint as almost all the parts can be airbrushed before fixing. So I only did a simple snap-fitting to see the overall kit and to check seamlines before doing all the sanding job and painting. Decals are mainly red to bring out the clean unit built. I have take some action pose which in older NG kits are not able to do so without modding 🙂 Enjoy the pictures below 🙂

It a good kit to start off for new modelers who wanted to built gunpla but yet don’t wish to spent so much on Master grade Model kit. This is one of the kit that you can start on 🙂 Good luck 🙂

Blitz Gundam

This is one of the commission job that i have receive from a young chap who is going for his NS soon. He was asking for help in painting his kit up at one local forum and he founded me. His has a wish when he comes by to the workshop. When he saw my work display at the workshop he finally have decided to approach me and ask me to build his model kit for him. He wanted me to give it the very look that i have done for most of my kit which is the different pre-shading styles that I have develop And i did and also help this young chap grant his wish. I promise him i will give him his Blitz gundam within 2 weeks time which i usually don’t as it take time to built and prepare the model kit for painting.

And the 2nd week he arrived he received this kit with joy 🙂 I’m glad that I’m able to fufill his wish 🙂 And from since he has become one of my long term customer ever since. This kit is a 1/100 scale NG kit release by Bandai under the Gundam Seed series

08th MS Team Ball

I have built this kit quite a while ago during the 1st launch of this Master Grade Kit. Overall I really like the detail this kit has. And I enjoy the process of painting all the small detail on the kit and giving it a custom paint job to make it blue in colour instead of the original orange colour. As per usual I have painted this kit using my pre-shade style and some custom decals that I came up with 🙂 Do check it out 🙂

Katoots Plastic Modeling Meet 2008

It always this time of the year where katoots.com will hold a mini plastic modeling meet for all active modelers inside the forum to meet up to display their work and a chit chat session. More of like a gathering in my point of view. As more and more people are getting interested in plastic modeling I have also made a decision to set up a new workshop on my own and will be heavily involved in the next few major competitions and events as All my students will be joining in to showcase their talents. One more reason why I would want to move from my current workshop is because if it very far from the city area and the space is very small as there are alot of new modelers coming in to join the courses I provide and coached and I felt they deserve a bigger space to work and learn in. So i guess this is the last time I will see this workshop in action again. So I would like to announce that my new workshop will be fully set up in June. So if you are free do give me an e-mail to contact me or give me a call at 91152087 so I can give you the direction and how to reach the new workshop. It will be in the city area so I think it will be alot easier for all peoples who are interested in Plastic modeling to drop by and say Hi. So without holding everyone back. This is the photos taken at this mini modeling meet 🙂

Katoots 2nd OOB Champion Crossbone Pirate Gundam

Katoots.com a local forum has been promoting Plastic Modeling for the past few years and had held a few competitions in the past. During the year 2007 Katoots.com has organize a Gundam Plastic Model Kit Competition known as the “OOB” (The term OOB refer to Out Of Box. Meaning there must not be any modifications to the model kit itself) This is the 2nd OOb competition Katoots has held. Upon seeing this as a chance to help out the plastic modeling community I when thru my gundam model kits stash and pick up this Gundam Crossbone Ver Ka. As I have always like Katoki Hajime’s design. I started my building phrase on this kit and the time given by the forum is 9 months. So i took this time to pick up a few commission jobs along the way while building it. This kit took me a total span of 6 months to complete. The Custom base that hold the Crossbone Gundam has a Skull insignal masked sprayed on it to give it the touch and hence the name Crossbone Pirate. So I bring down this kit during the competition day and when the result was being announce by the Organizer. I have won the Katoots OOB Grand Champion and the Best Of Show Award. 2 medals were won by this Corssbone Pirate that I have done. So I would like to take this chance to share my joy with everyone here 🙂

I was offered by a few collectors who would like me to let go of this kit for their personal collection but I have turned them all down as up till this day this kit has be become a signature of my pre-shading style. So in the years to come I will still be holding on to this kit and hopefully I’m able to pass on my knowledge to my students so they can have their own signature model kit they can called for their own 🙂

MG Strike Gundam I.W.S.P

I really like this MG kit featuring Strike Gundam with a I.W.S.P backpack. This kit is one of the kits that takes alot of my time to built. Lots of seams lines and mold lines to clear. The gatling gun support port has the most mold lines and it was a pain to clear them. In the mid i did take some break off to do other stuffs and play some some C & C 3 games. The strike gundam face insignal was masked directly on the base that the kit comes with.Overall i managed to complete this kit in 2 months time due to alot of slacking around 🙂 LOLz
